Siver is a white, lustrous, extremely
malleable and ductile, metallic element. Its
symbol is Ag (from Latin argentum), it has an
atomic number of 47, and a relative atomic
mass number of 107.868. It occurs in nature
in ores and as a free metal. The chief ores
are sulphides, from which the metal is
extracted by smelting with lead.
