  2. malleable and ductile, metallic element. Its 
  3. symbol is Ag (from Latin argentum), it has an

  5. mass number of 107.868. It occurs in nature 
  6. in ores and as a free metal. The chief ores 
  7. are sulphides, from which the metal is 
  8. extracted by smelting with lead.
